I have always loved taking pictures. I can still remember messing around with old Polaroids and Instamatics when I was the same age my daughters are right now. But over the past couple of years, as I tried to capture images of my own children, everything about photography changed for me. For the first time, I wanted to stop taking pictures and start making pictures.
The more I learned, the more I realized that my camera was not JUST a camera. Under the right settings and conditions, it was more like a key with the power to unlock MAGIC. All I had to do was bring together all the bits and pieces of what I was learning, and at the same time, still follow my heart and intuition. Not an easy task! This truly is a balancing act. Challenging and exhilarating, frustrating and rewarding all at once, and completely worth every ounce my energy.
